This project features a WJP 3D printed Ice Witch figurine made as a full-color resin character prototype. The small figure has a white-haired fantasy look, closed eyes, horn-like head details, a pale dress, dark blue back accents, blue shoes, and a black circular display base. The overall mood is quiet and wintery—more “tiny snow spell” than loud action figure.

WJP full-color 3D printing was used because the design relies on soft color transitions and small character details rather than only the model shape. The pale blue gradient on the dress, the dark blue hair or back area, the closed eyes, and the small horn-like elements all help define the character. Printing the colors directly into the resin prototype allows designers to review the full visual concept without relying entirely on hand painting after production.

After printing, the figurine received an overall gloss clear coat. This makes the white and blue surfaces look smoother and gives the character a more collectible-toy finish. From the available images, the main silhouette is clear, the front and back views show different design information, and the facial expression remains readable despite the small scale. Some tiny features, such as the hands, hair edges, and dress hem, appear slightly softened, and the strong reflections in the photos make certain surface details harder to judge. For early designer toy samples, character IP review, or gift prototype development, this finish is suitable for evaluating the look and emotional direction of the design. For mass-production collectibles, additional color matching, coating control, and durability checks would still be recommended.

Solution

• Step 1: The character model was reviewed before printing, including the head shape, hair volume, dress form, horn-like details, facial expression, color areas, and display base.
• Step 2: The file was prepared for WJP full-color 3D printing so that the resin geometry and color information could be produced together from the digital model.
• Step 3: The figurine was printed using full-color photopolymer material jetting, forming the small character, printed color transitions, and display base as a full-color resin prototype.
• Step 4: After printing, support material was removed and the part was cleaned carefully, especially around the hair edges, arms, dress hem, shoes, and small head details.
• Step 5: An overall gloss clear coat was applied to create a smoother collectible-toy appearance and enhance the soft white-blue color palette.
• Step 6: The finished figurine was inspected from the front and back to check the silhouette, color readability, gloss coverage, small feature definition, and standing presentation on the base.
