About Project

The sleepy beauty is created by two art students. They build the model with ZBrush, a digital sculpting tool used for creating high-resolution models and adding textures. Its design is intended to mimic the bust sculptures in the Middle Age.

Solution

  • Step 1: The artists have experience in making clay sculptures by hand, and this time they give it a try on making a digital bust sculpture with ZBrush and print in one piece.
  • Step 2: To make the models looks more alike with the clay sculptures, we suggest setting the wall thickness larger and hollowing fewer parts. After our sales manager gives quotes, they decide to make a larger one and a smaller one.
  • Step 3: Our engineer will check the model, arrange the models, and add supporting structure, then export it to the industrial SLA 3D printer. The model is printed in one piece as requested.
  • Step 4: 3D print the full model. Soak the green part in IPA to dissolve all the supports. Dry the model in open air, then polish to remove marks. Finally, spray with acrylic paint to mimic the ceramic gloss.
