The client ordered 14 pieces of laser-cut stainless steel boards with a thickness of 1mm. The patterns include Pokemon, NBA, brand name, etc. The whole cost is less than $150.
Stainless steel can be finished using a variety of techniques. And the client required them to be brushed to gain a dull, matte sheen. The steel retains some of its luster and gains very fine lines, and can hide fingerprints.
Solution
Step 1: Give the quote based on the material, shapes and dimensions. Convert the .png file into .dwg, and import the file into the laser cutting machine.
Step 2: Set the laser cutter, cut the stainless steel boards in the designed route. The cut marks show how the laser starts to cut the boards and have no impact on the shapes.
Step 3: The metal is polished with a fine bristle brush on a belt or wheel that moves in the same direction the whole time, then softened with a greaseless compound or a medium non-woven abrasive belt or pad.
Step 4: Pack them tightly so the boards don’t bump into each other during transportation.
