About Project
Meet our latest achievement: a 3D-printed, fully integrated smart commode prototype. Yes, it鈥檚 a high-tech toilet for a medical setting, and yes, we made it.
This compact marvel features integrated armrests, a digital screen for temperature and settings (we assumed you’d want heated seat options), and internal bidet mechanics that… well, you get the idea. It’s sleek, functional, and surprisingly photogenic for something you sit on.
Why trust FacFox with your prototypes? Because we can handle the hard stuff.
If we can successfully engineer and 3D print a medical-grade, multi-component smart toilet (while keeping a straight face), imagine what we can do for your product. From intricate mechanical parts to sleek consumer goods, we bring concepts to life.
Stop sitting on your ideas. Let FacFox handle the manufacturing so you can get back to the thinking.
Solution
- Step 1: The digital 3D model was designed in CAD software and partitioned into multiple printable components to accommodate the internal bidet mechanics and display housing.
- Step 2: High-resolution SLA (Stereolithography) 3D printing was employed using durable photopolymer resin to ensure a smooth, non-porous surface finish.
- Step 3: Supporting structures were manually removed from the printed parts, and the components were washed in isopropyl alcohol to remove excess resin.
- Step 4: The parts were placed in a UV curing chamber where they were fully hardened to achieve maximum structural integrity and thermal resistance.
- Step 5: Surfaces were meticulously sanded by hand with progressive grits and primed to eliminate any remaining layer lines.
- Step 6: A custom automotive-grade lacquer was applied in an off-white and grey palette to simulate the aesthetic of injection-molded plastic.
- Step 7: The control interfaces and display graphics were applied as high-definition decals, and the various sections were assembled using specialized adhesives.
