Why Choose FacFox WJP Printing?
-
Vibrant Spectrum: Over 10 million colors with smooth gradients and sharp transitions.
-
Micro-Detail Precision: Layer heights as fine as 0.03mm capture everything from delicate facial expressions to tiny logos.
-
Versatile Textures: Whether you want a professional look or a “pop” of shine, we offer finishes to suit every style.
Matte vs. Glossy: Pick Your Perfect Finish
The right finish can transform the personality of your model. Our WJP service offers two distinct paths:
-
The Matte Collection (Standard): Most of the models you see-like our adorable couple figurines and the sleeping puppies-feature a Matte Finish. It provides a smooth, non-reflective surface that feels premium to the touch. It is the gold standard for character models and prototypes where you want the focus to be on the intricate geometry and soft color blends.
-
The Glossy Highlight: For a futuristic or high-end collectible look, our Glossy Finish (as seen on our sleek robot explorer) adds a brilliant, light-reflecting sheen. This finish enhances color saturation and gives the model a polished, “out-of-the-box” toy aesthetic that’s incredibly eye-catching.
Ready to Create?
Whether it’s a gift for a loved one or a prototype for your next big project, FacFox delivers industrial-grade quality with a personal touch.
Solution
- Step 1: The digital 3D model was sliced into ultra-thin horizontal layers and the color data was mapped to individual voxels.
- Step 2: A thin layer of liquid photopolymer resin and a specialized gel-like support material were deposited onto the build tray by the inkjet print heads.
- Step 3: Specific color pigments were precisely jetted into the resin to match the digital design, and the entire layer was immediately cured by a UV light source.
- Step 4: This process was repeated layer by layer until the full-color physical object was completely formed.
- Step 5: The completed model was removed from the build chamber, and the surrounding support material was dissolved or washed away.
- Step 6: A professional post-processing treatment was applied, where the surface was either finished to a smooth matte texture or coated for a brilliant glossy sheen.
