About Project

The Breath Vessel series comprises three ethereal wearable sculptures that capture the intangible moment of breath. With forms that ripple like liquid frozen mid-air, these pieces blur the boundaries between the organic and the digital, the crafted and the fabricated.

Each structure was 3D printed with clear resin, then meticulously sanded and polished to achieve a smooth, flowing surface. The application of clear acrylic oil added a delicate sheen and enhanced the visual depth, creating a semi-transparent, luminous effect reminiscent of water, air, or even emotion made solid.

Solution

• Step 1: The artist 3D printed the wearable parts in clear resin for its fine resolution and light-transmitting properties.
• Step 2: The prints were carefully sanded to remove layer lines and imperfections.
• Step 3: Multiple rounds of fine polishing brought out the natural clarity of the material.
• Step 4: Colored layers were added using airbrushing techniques, with gradients that evoke dreamlike, flowing energy.
• Step 5: A final coat of clear acrylic oil sealed the piece and enhanced both durability and transparency.
