However, observing this print, we can see some typical characteristics of the PolyJet full-color process in action. The boundaries between the blue and white areas, while generally distinct, exhibit a noticeable softness or blending, rather than a sharp, crisp line. This is an inherent trait of the technology. Additionally, the overall blue hue appears somewhat lighter in saturation compared to what might be achievable with other full-color printing methods.

Looking at the finer details, the impact of color bleed from larger areas to smaller ones is apparent. For example, the black lines defining his closed eyes appear quite thin, potentially smaller than originally designed due to the surrounding blue. Solution

• Step 1: A 3D model of the Henry Fox was digitally designed.
• Step 2: The 3D model was then prepared for printing by slicing it into numerous thin layers.
• Step 3: Based on the color information in the digital model, tiny droplets of photopolymer resin were selectively jetted onto a build platform. Different colored resins were deposited simultaneously to achieve the full-color effect.
• Step 4: Immediately after being jetted, each layer of resin was cured and solidified by exposure to UV light.
• Step 5: Subsequent layers were built upon the previously cured layers, with the print head moving and depositing material according to the sliced digital model. This process was repeated layer by layer until the complete Henry Fox miniature was formed.
• Step 6: Once the printing process was finished, the build platform was removed from the 3D printer.
• Step 7: Support structures, which were automatically generated during the printing process to support overhangs and complex geometries, were carefully removed from the Henry Fox model.
• Step 8: The printed model was then cleaned to remove any residual uncured resin.
• Step 9: In some cases, a post-curing process might have been performed to ensure the model reached its optimal mechanical properties and color vibrancy.
