Solution
- Step 1: 3D Model Creation. A digital 3D model of the bear and balloon was first designed using specialized 3D modeling software.
- Step 2: 3D Model Slicing. The 3D model was sliced into thin, horizontal layers, creating a set of instructions for the 3D printer.
- Step 3: 3D Printing. The sliced model was fed into a 3D printer, where layers of sandstone-like plaster powder were applied and bonded together using a liquid binder.
- Step 4: Curing. The printed object was cured to harden the plaster and ensure its structural integrity.
- Step 5: Post-Processing. Any excess powder was removed, and the surface was smoothed and polished to achieve the desired sandstone-like texture and finish.
- Step 6: Painting. The statue was painted with the desired colors, in this case, purple for the bear and red for the balloon.
- Step 7: Assembly. The bear and balloon were assembled together, ensuring a secure and aesthetically pleasing fit.
- Step 8: Finishing Touches. Any final adjustments or details were added to complete the statue.
- Step 9: Packaging. The finished statue was carefully packaged to protect it during shipping and handling.
