Human beings are continuously exploring more advanced vehicles, from automotive, steamboat, airplane to spaceships. 3D printing is the best method to verify the appearance. FacFox gained a lot of experience from making scale models for engineers, students, collectors, etc. in 15 years.

Solution

• Step 1: Examine the STL files and communicate with our clients about their requirements. In this case, the propeller and the main body of the plane need to be printed separately. After both confirm with the size, structure, material and finishing, we input the 3D model into the slicing software and add support structure.
• Step 2: If you don’t like the rough surface finish of FDM printed objects, SLA will be the better choice. SLA 3D printing is known for its fine features, smooth surface finish, ultimate part precision, and accuracy.
• Step 3: Take out the prints and wash them with IPA to remove excess materials and supports. Sand and polish the prints to remove marks and bumps. Then post-cure them with UV.
• Step 4: Paint the windows in black, and paint the wheels in black and red.
