VINCI Construction partners with XtreeE and acquires stake in the company 3D Printing Processes

French construction giant VINCI Construction has signed a partnership agreement with large size cement 3D printing startup XtreeE. In conjunction with the partnership, VINCI Construction also acquired a stake in the company. The move will accelerate the expansion of XtreeE and boost cooperation between the teams. It is also designed to explore and develop opportunities for using 3D printing technologies in construction.

It’s always nice when the generalist media cover 3D printing, in any of its forms, in a positive way. After they stopped blabbering about how 3D printing is dead, generalist media are once again finding an interest for 3D printing and 3D printing companies. It just happened with CNN and house 3D printing – or maybe we should say “city 3D printing” since when the generalist media talks about stuff they do it “extra large”.

First 3D printed office building opens in Dubai Professional Additive Manufacturing

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the first 3D printed office. The building is the first of its kind in the world prepared for actual use, taking into account the integration of unique building design and 3D-printing technology to offer key services within the building, such as electricity, water, telecommunications, and air-conditioning.

Il collegamento di WASP alla Terra, però, va oltre il progetto BigBigDelta per stampare le case in 3D: la società stessa è un esempio brillante di artigianalità italiana applicata alle stampanti 3D.
