KAM acquires Velo3D Sapphire XC printer Additive Manufacturing

Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) has acquired a Velo3D Sapphire XC printer – expanding its additive manufacturing capabilities and joining the Velo3D Contract Manufacturer Network. The purchase is Keselowski’s first from Velo3D, and the purchase continues the company’s legacy of utilizing the most advanced manufacturing capabilities on the market to deliver finished, high-quality parts to its customers.

Bosch acquires two SLM500 systems 3D Printer Hardware

SLM Solutions has recently installed two SLM500 printers at Robert Bosch GmbH Nuremberg (Bosch), the multinational German technology and engineering company. Bosch will utilize its new systems to produce parts for its powertrain technology, including custom aluminium parts for hydrogen technology and electric drive productions at their 3D-MPC Manufacturing and Processing Center in Nuremberg, Germany. The centre is responsible for producing components and parts using additive manufacturing for prototype and serial applications.

Optomec receives $7 million in new orders of 3D printers from repeat customers 3D Printer Hardware

Optomec, an established company in additive manufacturing solutions for 3D metal printing and 3D printed electronics, has recently received more than $7 million worth of new orders from its installed base. The orders include more than 10 new systems being added to increase capacity for existing users, together with a range of enabling software products and digital process recipes.

Intech Additive receives orders of iFusion metal L-PBF printers for $2M 3D Printer Hardware

Intech Additive Solutions Pvt Ltd., the first Indian OEM successful in developing and supplying 3D metal printers based on laser powder bed fusion technology (L-PBF) for industrial manufacturing, has received multiple orders of iFusion metal 3D printers in the last quarter of the FY ending March 31st, 2021. The total of the orders amounts to $2 million (US) for the first ‘Made in India’ metal 3D printers

VELO3D launches Sapphire XC 3D printer with 5x higher throughput 3D Printer Hardware

VELO3D is expanding its 3D printing portfolio in a big way—literally. The California-based metal AM company has released the Sapphire XC 3D printer, which it describes as an “extra capacity” system with up to five times higher throughput compared to the original Sapphire system. The new large-format Sapphire XC also has the ability to reduce cost-per-part by up to 75%.
