Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH showed off its complete portfolio of solutions for core-making technology at GIFA 2023, last 12th-16th June 2023 in Dusseldorf, Germany. GIFA is the world’s largest foundry trade fair and, as a full-service provider, Laempe offers a wide range of products from the design to the construction of turnkey plants: core shooters, including gassing units, core sand mixers, automation, and robotics solutions as well as automated visual and quality inspections. In addition to core shooters, Laempe offers products and solutions along the entire value chain, including an internally developed sand binder jetting 3D printer.

At the recent Ceramtec trade show in Munich, French company 3DCeram unveiled the new C1000 FLEXMATIC, an SLA ceramic 3D printer designed to meet the industrial challenges of large-scale production. The machine integrates the SMART Ceramic Factory, 3DCeram’s factory of the future, and has all the assets to print ceramic parts in a semi-automated line.

Austrian company voestalpine has been engaged in 3D printing with metals for many years, mainly as a provider of metal 3D printing services and metal powder materials for PBF and DED technologies. These metals are already being used at its own 3D printing and research centers around the world. Now the steel and technology Group has started operating a giant sand 3D printer for heavy steel castings at its site in Traisen, Lower Austria. However, a unique and interesting aspect is that the machine is not from European and US leaders such as voxeljet and ExOne but from Chinese company Kocel Machinery.

Current COVID-19 travel restrictions have not stopped Lithoz GmbH from reaching its global market, with the latest CeraFab 7500 3D printer installed remotely at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in Australia.

FGK -Glas/Keramik- GmbH, a leading innovator in research and development of advanced ceramics and test labs, acquired the latest 3D printer from Lithoz GmbH: the CeraFab Multi 2M30. The recently released system is capable of multi-material 3D printing in a single component.

Lithoz, the Austrian leader in 3D printed ceramics, is not a company known for its aggressive marketing and communication efforts. Its high-level LCM ceramics photopolymerization AM technology is making huge steps forward, however, we don’t often hear about it. That’s, well, because the company does not tell many people about its progress. Even after Lithoz launched the disruptive, production-ready Cerafab S65, we only learned about its progress in the market when a small Australian company – 3rdAxis – purchased one.
