One Click Metal Launches MPRINT+ Metal L-PBF System for €77,000

One-Click Metal, a German company that made easy to use, affordable metal laser powder bed fusion systems its prerogative, is introducing the new MPRINT+ 3D printer priced at just €76,900, which probably makes it the most affordable such system on the market today.

The machines do come within an ecosystem, which the company refers to as BOLDSERIES, that also includes the MPURE unpacking station and sieving unit, priced at €21,500, and the MPREP data preparation software subscription, which costs €130 per month. Altogether, it is still well below €100,000.

The MPRINT+ system has been fine-tuned from previous products for higher productivity, through a 200W fiber laser (from TRUMPF), and in a wider field of applications accessible via the focus diameter of 45µm and Galvo scanner. The machine has a build volume of 150mm x 150mm x 150mm, which is the largest in its performance range and makes it very flexible. It also implements a cartridge system for both safe and clean powder handling while minimizing direct powder contact for the user.

One-Click Metal’s stylish cartridge is designed following ergonomic guidelines and can still be held by hand at a maximum filling of 11kg. This enables safer and healthier operations. It serves a triple function: powder supply, collection of processed powder and recycling of processed powder. It also uses an integrated NFC-Tag that increases safety in material use (making pairing of different materials impossible), ensures powder quality and automatically detects closing cycles (depending on the procedure), which enables monitoring of seal wear. In addition, filling levels can be checked.

The MPREP software is provided for data preparation, with presettings and automatic calculations to simplify data preparation. The user interface of the system guides users with step-by-step instructions through the individual action sequences.

The printed part or component can be unpacked and depowdered without any direct powder contact. Once processed, the powder is stored in the collection cartridge and the can be removed with a closed unpacking chamber without direct powder contact thanks to the integrated ATEX connection.
