Introducing new Voxelab Aquila S2, a 300℃ direct extruder printer Decision Makers

Flashforge’s sub-brand Voxelab is releasing a new beginner-friendly filament extrusion 3D Printer in its Aquila series, the Aquila S2. Priced under $300, the Aquila S2 is a direct driver extruder 3D printer capable of handling temperatures up to 300℃, and printing multiple filament types including flexible materials.

The Aquila S2 uses a 2 in 1 300℃ direct driver extruder, which eliminates the error to the maximum extent. With simple and quick manual loading, with just a light press, users can expect a faster and smoother loading process. This eventually guarantees a better printing effect. Additionally, it minimizes nozzle clogging issues.

“Although the most used filaments are PLA and ABS, an increasing number of users expect to have an affordable 3D printer that is capable of printing other filaments such as flexible materials,” said Mr. Guo, the R&D manager of the Aquila team, “By making improvements on the extruder, thermistor, firmware and other aspects, plus numerous testing, we managed to achieve a great result.” The Aquila S2 can print PLA, ABS, PETG, PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PA12-CF, PA, PC and TPU materials. With extruders heated up to 300℃ and double cooling fans, the printing results are guaranteed.

3D printing beginners may cut their fingers while removing parts. To avoid this inconvenience and improve user experience, the Aquila S2 uses a PEI magnetic and flexible build plate. Simply bend the printing plate to take off the model: this protects the user as well as the model.

“We suffered some trouble during the last year’s chip storage. This time, we want to empower the fullness of DIY freedom to users. Clients can select which mainboard they want, either N32 or H32.” Mr. Guo said. With open-source codes, self-selected mainboards, users can DIY modify the printer in their own way: add personal style accessories, include custom printing orders, share with other users their own designs, etc.

In recent years, 3D printing has evolved to be more than just a hobby. For the past year, Voxelab users printed creative costumes for family members, decorations for homes, parts for 3D printer improvement, and functional parts for convenient living. What will Aquila S2 users print?
