nScrypt 3D BFF completes first in-space bioprinting test Bioprinting

A joint team consisting of Florida-based nScrypt, space company TechShot, Inc, the Geneva Foundation and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) has successfully conducted its first 3D bioprinting test aboard the International Space Station (ISS). In the experiment, ISS astronauts used nScypt’s 3D BioFabrication Facility (BFF) to 3D print a human knee meniscus as part of the 4D Bio3 Program.

Voxeljet reports that it is further expanding in the Indian market as Bangalore foundry Peekay Steel Castings installs VX4000 sand 3D printer, with a job box size of 4000 x 2000 x 1000 mm, to quickly and cost-effectively conduct technically demanding projects and expand into new business areas. The VX4000 system is one of the world’s largest and most productive 3D printers with a build volume of eight cubic meters.

€10.7M POLYLINE project to create SLS-based production line for automotive Additive Manufacturing

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has funded and launched POLYLINE, a collaborative project aimed at developing a next-generation production line for the automotive industry. The €10.7 million project specifically addresses the integration of additive manufacturing into plastic part production in the automotive industry to complement conventional production methods through high-throughput production line systems.
