The Autodesk Netfabb team is ready to release Netfabb 2022 with more integrated support than ever before for 3D printers, starting with the EOS SDK for EOSPrint (PBF), Stratasys Origin One integration (high-speed photopolymerization), Mimaki integration (multi-color material jetting), ExOne X1 160Pro binder jetting and many more hardware manufacturers and machines now natively supported.
Other improvements also focused on User Experience and Toolpathing Simulation however the main focus remains on adding support for hardware systems. What is particularly interesting is that Autodesk added integration for several different technologies and processes, including some that are particularly challenging and innovative.
Besides the companies and machines mentioned above, more integration initiatives involve the TWO and Micro metal PBF systems from Aconity 3D, 3D4Mec’s material-specific 3D4BRASS and 3D4STEEL metal PBF systems, AlphaLaser’s AL3D 150-50 and 200 systems, EVOBEAM’s metal PBF systems and Spectroplast’s silicone extrusion SAM technology. Manufacturing on Demand
With the 2022.0 release, Netfabb can create build files for EOS M machines with additional control over the build parameters, using the newly integrated EOS software development kit (SDK). Using this integration, you can either select a prepopulated build strategy from EOS or create a customized one and assign it to specific components. Once you are ready to print, export the .openjz file from Netfabb and launch the EOSPRINT software to load your job. Once the file is open in EOSPRINT, you will notice that your desired parameters have been assigned correctly and you can proceed to create the task for the machine.
The video above presents Netfabb 2022’s ability to prepare your prints within the updated Stratasys Origin One machine workspace. It also showcases how to login to the Stratasys Origin Online platform from Netfabb, manage your collections and upload your print job to the Origin webpage.
