Sacred Chimes are weapons in the Dark Souls game and are used as catalysts to cast Miracles. This one in the photos is one of the most beautiful Chimes, thus it was chosen as a cosplay prop by the fans. It's covered with a layer of gold foil instead of golden oil paint.

Solution

• Step 1: Build a 3D model with reference to the screenshots of the game. Set the thickness of the bell waist and the embossment on the chime, so they would look obvious after printing.
• Step 2: Before printing it out, we send the screenshots to the client to get her consent with the model. We offer a quote to her and feed the STL file into slicer software and arrange the placement.
• Step 3: 3D print the model with necessary supports using SLA Generic Resin. Post-process it by washing the chime with IPA, post-curing it with UV, cutting off the supports, and air-drying.
• Step 4: Tailor pieces of gold foil and enwrap them with the chime. The cheap and thin gold chains are bought and assembled onto the chime.
