Few science fiction/action movies are more violently satisfying 鈥 and confusing 鈥 than the Predator franchise. The word “predator” is just what earthlings call these monsters, whose language appears to be a collection of clicking noises represented through a complex series of dashes in writing. The race seems to be guided by a desire to hunt for sport. Often they'll seek out whatever passes for the greatest warriors in a given area and stalk them as trophy game.
Predator is a super cool SciFi film series and has millions of fans all over the world. One cinephile downloaded the 3D model and made an order with us to print a mini size garage kit of the scaring creature. As he required, its head, upper body, lower body, also its base, are 3D printed separately for the convenience of fine-painting.
The figurine totally reflects the advantages of our DLP Ultra HD Resin material. Having an opaque peach color appearance, it's a highly smooth and detailed resin for building tough and stiff parts.
Solution
- Step 1: Split the 3D model with a plane cut and add the supporting structure.
- Step 2: Print the head, upper and lower body, and the base separately with our SLA 3D printer using DLP Ultra HD Resin.
- Step 3: Remove the supports and post-cure all the parts with UV.
