Solution

• Step 1: First, a 3D digital model of the green snake was designed using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Step 2: Then, the digital model was sliced into thin, horizontal layers by specialized slicing software.
• Step 3: Support structures were generated and added to the sliced model to ensure stability during the printing process.
• Step 4: Liquid photopolymer resin was poured into a vat within the SLA 3D printer.
• Step 5: A UV laser beam, guided by mirrors, was directed onto the resin surface, selectively curing each layer of the snake’s design.
• Step 6: The build platform was lowered incrementally, allowing each subsequent layer to be cured and bonded to the previous one.
• Step 7: This process was repeated layer by layer, building the snake figurine from the bottom up.
• Step 8: Once the printing process was complete, the build platform was raised, and the green snake figurine was removed from the resin vat.
• Step 9: Excess resin was washed away from the figurine using a solvent.
• Step 10: The support structures that had been generated were carefully removed.
• Step 11: The figurine was then subjected to a post-curing process under UV light to fully solidify the resin and enhance its strength.
• Step 12: The figurine was then painted, leaving the eyes blank.
