About Project
It’s a 14cm-long TPU rocket model printed with Flashforge Creator 4 FDM printer. With an ultra-smooth thin wall, the rocket is hollowed and weighs only 7g. No chemical polishing procedure is added to the post-processing.
Solution
- Step 1: We position the model vertical so it requires minimal supporting structures and prepare it with 3D slicer software.
- Step 2: Here we print the rocket with FDM 3D printing technology using FDM PolyFlex TPU95-HF, which has high flexibility and durability.
- Step 3: Take the prints from the plane. Adding a raft or skirt would make this process easier.
- Step 4: Polish the prints manually with a grater and sandpaper to remove the remaining marks.
