Solution

• Step 1: Digital Design. The 3D model of Zhu Bajie was created using Blender.
• Step 2: Data Preparation.聽The CAD model was prepared for 3D printing by optimizing it for the ColorJet printing process. This involved ensuring the model was clean, free of errors, and compatible with the printer’s software.
• Step 3: Printing.聽The prepared model data was sent to the ColorJet 3D printer. The printer used a layer-by-layer additive manufacturing process, where successive layers of sandstone material were bonded together to form the statue. As each layer was printed, a colored pigment was applied, creating the full-color effect.
• Step 4: Support Removal.聽After the printing was complete, any support structures used to hold the statue during the printing process were removed.
• Step 5: Finishing.聽The statue was inspected for any imperfections and, if necessary, underwent additional finishing processes such as sanding or polishing.
• Step 6: Packaging and Shipping.聽The finished statue was carefully packaged and shipped to the customer.
