Herman Miller chairs are one of the most expensive office chairs. Its pricing is based on the promise to give you perfect posture to prevent back and wrist pain from sitting for a long time. Other companies are also eager to have some shares in the high-end office chairs market. Here is one mock-up sample we printed for a newly designed chair.

Solution

• Step 1: As an office chair, the shape and structure should be precisely controlled. Also, the client needs to control the cost for this sample. So we scale down the chair and enough supports in case it deforms during printing.
• Step 2: Arrange the placement and print the chairs in one piece using SLA Dark Tough Resin. The color of the resin is dark grey, and it needs to be painted black with an airbrush after cleaning and polishing.
• Step 3: The arms, legs, and wheels are printed using silver metallic paint. We attach and glue the silk fishing net to the chair instead of printing it.
