About Project

FacFox is proud to present our latest innovation in 3D printing technology: SLA 3D printed fine-detail resin planet lamp shells. These exquisite lamps are perfect for anyone who wants to add a touch of cosmic elegance to their home.

We recently had the pleasure of custom-designing and printing a set of planet lamps for a client. The lamps, which include Earth, Moon, and Jupiter, are each 30cm in diameter and feature stunningly detailed 3D models. The single-color finish adds to the lamps' sophisticated look.

SLA 3D printing is a high-resolution printing process that produces incredibly smooth and detailed surfaces. This makes it perfect for creating objects with intricate features, such as the planets in our lamp set.

The benefits of using SLA 3D printing for creative furniture include:

  • Unlimited design possibilities: SLA printing can create virtually any shape or size, making it perfect for unique and custom furniture designs.
  • High accuracy and detail: SLA prints are incredibly precise, with smooth surfaces and sharp details. This is essential for creating furniture that is both beautiful and functional.
  • Durable and long-lasting: SLA prints are made from strong and durable resins that can withstand wear and tear. This makes them ideal for furniture that will be used and enjoyed for years to come.

If you're looking for a unique and eye-catching way to add to your home decor, SLA 3D-printed planet lamp shells are the perfect solution. And if you're in the creative furniture industry, FacFox can help you bring your vision to life with our high-quality 3D printing services.

In addition to the benefits listed above, SLA 3D printing is also:

  • Relatively affordable: Compared to other 3D printing technologies, SLA is becoming increasingly more affordable. This makes it a more accessible option for both individual consumers and businesses.
  • Sustainable: SLA printing uses a UV light curing process that is more environmentally friendly than traditional manufacturing methods. This is an important consideration for businesses that are looking to reduce their environmental impact.

We believe that SLA 3D printing has the potential to revolutionize the creative furniture industry. With its ability to create virtually any shape or size, SLA printing can help designers and manufacturers create truly unique and innovative pieces.

If you're looking for a partner to help you bring your 3D printing vision to life, FacFox is here to help. We have a team of experienced engineers and designers who can help you with every step of the process, from design to production.

Solution

  • Step 1: 3D Modeling. A high-resolution 3D model of the desired planet was created using 3D modeling software. The model was carefully sculpted to capture the intricate details of the planet’s surface, such as craters, mountains, and oceans.
  • Step 2: Digital Slicing. The 3D model was then sliced into thin horizontal layers using a slicing software program. Each layer was essentially a cross-section of the model, representing the material that would be deposited by the 3D printer.
  • Step 3: Printing. The sliced model was then sent to the SLA 3D printer. The printer used a UV laser to cure liquid resin, one layer at a time, according to the digital instructions from the sliced model. The laser selectively cured the resin, solidifying it into the desired shape of each layer.
  • Step 4: Support Removal. Once the printing was complete, the planet lamp shell was carefully removed from the printer. Any support structures that were used to hold the model in place during printing were then removed.
  • Step 5: Cleaning and Post-Processing. The planet lamp shell was then cleaned to remove any residual resin. It was then sanded and polished to achieve a smooth and glossy finish.
  • Step 6: Painting (Optional).聽 In this case, a single color was applied to achieve an elegant style. Other options include painting multiple colors, adding a metallic finish, or leaving the resin unpainted for a more natural look.
  • Step 7: Assembly. Finally, any additional components, such as the light source and electrical wiring, were assembled into the planet lamp shell. The finished lamp was then tested to ensure that it was working properly.
