The model, designed by a student as his graduation project, has a tank-like main body, a 5-axis robotic arm, and a big chainsaw. It's designed to recycle large stuff like scrapped vehicles, old machines, etc. But it looks more like a killing machine. We're proud that our cost-effective and high-quality 3D printing service has won good reputation among students.
Solution
Step 1: The model is just for display, the robotic arm is fixed and can not rotate. So the printing is much easier. Our engineers can simply split the model into 10+ parts.
Step 2: Arrange the placement of parts properly to print them all in one batch. Add supports for the models with a hollow or overhang structure.
Step 3: Print the models with SLA 3D printing technology using SLA Generic Resin. This material is cheap and suitable for fine detailed display model with a smooth surface.
Step 4: Post-processing which includes support removal, post-curing, washing with IPA, post-curing, priming, painting with color and metallic paints, UV coating, etc.
