About Project

A Mini Cooper user designed the small decoration for the steering wheels of his sweet cars. The honeycomb patterns are quite distinctive. Made with DMLS printing technology, each stainless steel decoration part only costs less than $25.

Solution

• Step 1: Examine the model, add supporting structure and arrange them in the software.
• Step 2: Prepare the stainless steel powders and 3D print the models.
• Step 3: Break the thin supports with pliers, cut the thick supports with wire cutting. Polish to remove the bumps.
