This satirical masterpiece is a brilliant exercise in cultural juxtaposition, blending contemporary American populism with the aesthetics of a traditional Chinese scholar-official. The figure captures Donald Trump鈥檚 likeness with uncanny precision鈥攄own to the signature stern pout鈥攂ut places him atop a “chibi-style” body with delightfully squat, cartoonish proportions.
The irony is layered thick here. Clad in a tan hanfu-style robe and official鈥檚 headwear, he looks less like a 21st-century politician and more like a legendary figure from a Ming Dynasty drama. The centerpiece of the joke sits right on his forehead: the Chinese character “鎳” (d菕ng). This is a direct nod to his famous internet moniker in China, “Dong Wang” (The King of Knowing Everything). To finish the look, he brandishes a vibrant red folding fan featuring the “MAGA” acronym, proving that even as an ancient official, he鈥檚 never off the clock.

Solution
- Step 1: The digital 3D model was meticulously sculpted and color-mapped by the client to capture the satirical likeness and traditional textures.
- Step 2: The file was imported into the specialized slicing software, where it was partitioned into microscopic layers to ensure high-resolution detail.
- Step 3: Multiple droplets of liquid photopolymer resins in various colors were jetted onto the build tray by the print heads.
- Step 4: Each deposited layer was immediately cured by a UV light source, allowing the complex, multi-colored geometry to be built up solidified.
- Step 5: Upon completion, the figurine was removed from the build chamber, and the surrounding support material was washed away using a pressurized water system.
- Step 6: The final product was dried and inspected to ensure the vibrancy of the colors and the sharpness of the “MAGA” and “鎳” characters.
