Solution

  • Step 1: Design Creation. The 3D model of the chrysanthemum flower was designed using Blender software.
  • Step 2: Support Structures. Support structures were carefully added to the model, especially around the long, slender petals, to ensure stability during printing.
  • Step 3: Preparation of the Printer. The SLA 3D printer was prepared by filling the resin tank with liquid photopolymer resin.
  • Step 4: Build Platform Positioning. The build platform was positioned in the resin tank at a distance of one layer height from the surface of the liquid.
  • Step 5: Layer Curing. A UV laser was used to selectively cure and solidify the resin, layer by layer, to form the flower model.
  • Step 6: Model Building. The build platform was gradually raised, and each new layer of resin was cured until the entire model was completed.
  • Step 7: Post-Processing. The printed model was removed from the build platform and placed in an isopropyl alcohol bath to remove any uncured resin.
  • Step 8: Supports Removal. The support structures were carefully removed, taking extra care to avoid damaging the delicate petals.
  • Step 9: Final Curing. The model was placed in a UV curing chamber to ensure complete hardening of the resin.
  • Step 10: Finishing Touches. Any remaining support marks were sanded down, and the model was sprayed into yellow, then inspected for quality.
