About Project

Mary was a first-century Galilean Jewish woman of Nazareth, the wife of Joseph, and the mother of Jesus, according to the canonical gospels and the Quran (Mary in Islam).
The gospels of Matthew and Luke in the New Testament and the Quran describe Mary as a virgin. In Matthew and Luke she is betrothed to Joseph. According to Christian theology, she conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit while still a virgin. She accompanied Joseph to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.

The statue of Mary has a background of golden holy light, on which many angels are flying. She is wearing a crown and sitting on the clouds, holding Jesus in her arms. The statue is SLA 3D printed in resin and then polished and painted to realize the texture and color of the human body. SLA technology can achieve very good accuracy, surface finishes, and details, quite suitable to make elaborate artworks.

Solution

  • Step 1: Examine the STL files offered by our client, recommend the most suitable services according to their needs.
  • Step 2: Printing all the parts separately through SLA 3D Printing for the convenience of painting.
  • Step 3: Remove the support structure and post-cure all the parts.
  • Step 4: Brush the holy light with metallic paints and color other parts. The fine-coloring process is required to reflect the details like the drapes and patterns on the gown.
  • Step 5: Assemble all the parts together and fix them with glue.
