If you ask most people what is a Unicorn they could tell you. If you ask what is the Pegasus, they could tell you that too. But they might not be able to tell you what an Alicorn is鈥� Well, an Alicorn is a cross between a Pegasus and a Unicorn. A flying Unicorn.

The Alicorn term appears to have mostly been coined by the show My Little Pony. Alicorns are pony characters in the show who have Earth pony power and are styled as royalty. Most of the girls who have seen or not seen the show may have a beautiful alicorn who can bring them happiness in their dreams. An artist depicted her dream alicorn on paper and then cooperated with us to make it a 3D model, then a solid statue on desktop.

Solution

• Step 1: The artist offered drawings from different views of the alicorn. Our 3D modeler built the 3D model in ZBrush.
• Step 2: Distinguish all the easy-to-break parts and add supporting structure on the model.
• Step 3: Input the model into the SLA 3D printer and product the model in one piece with SLA Generic Resin.
• Step 4: Cut off the supporting structure, wash the model, and post-cure it with UV. Polish carefully to remove the remaining marks, especially the marks on the wings and tail.
