About Project

2021 is a year of the Ox in the Chinese Zodiac Year Calendar. These cute ox statues are designed and 3D printed as mascots to be presented at the Spring Festival Gala. It's inspired by the traditional good-luck ox, and is full-color printed with PolyJet technology, saving the time and cost of hand-painting.

Solution

• Step 1: Add soluble PolyJet supports with materials that can let you create complex 3D printed parts and models with no restrictions on geometry.
• Step 2: A carriage jets photopolymers onto the workspace, which are then cured by a UV light. After a thin layer is created, the process repeats itself by jetting additional layers until the part is fully formed.
• Step 3: Remove the supporting structure by rinsing the model with water and isopropanol (IPA). Then spray with UV oil.
