Solution

• Step 1: A high-fidelity digital 3D model was created to capture the specific facial features, including the expression and hair texture.
• Step 2: The model was sliced into layers and printed using LCD 3D printing technology, which utilized a UV light source to cure liquid resin.
• Step 3: The printed sculpture was removed from the build plate and thoroughly cleaned in an isopropyl alcohol bath to remove excess resin.
• Step 4: Support structures were carefully removed from the head sculpt, and because LCD technology was used, only minimal polishing was required to achieve a smooth surface.
• Step 5: The piece was placed in a UV curing chamber where it was fully hardened to ensure structural integrity.
• Step 6: A primer coat was applied to the surface to create a uniform base for the subsequent paint layers.
• Step 7: Base skin tones were applied by hand, followed by meticulous layering of shades to create realistic depth and highlights on the face.
