Typhoon Doksuki, the strongest storm to hit China this year, slammed into the southeastern coast on July 27, bringing strong winds and heavy rains. The typhoon is expected to affect eastern China until July 29, causing widespread disruptions to transportation and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, another typhoon, Khanun, has formed in the western Pacific and is forecast to approach eastern China in early August. The exact path and intensity of Khanun are still uncertain, but it could pose a serious threat to the region.
