Mathematicians have made models out of gypsum and plaster to better communicate since 1900s and recently turned to 3D printing technology. The 3D models could show how the XY-coordinate system parametrizes the surface, or show the contour lines.
Solution
Step 1: The client builds the math model with MATLAB, and converts it into an STL file for printing. Our engineer would help her examine the model.
Step 2: We arrange the parts in software and add necessary supporting structure. Then 3D print them with SLA Dark Tough Resin. The layer thickness we set is 0.05mm and we control the tolerance within 卤0.1 mm.
Step 3: When printing is completed, rinse the models with IPA and post-cure them with UV. Cut off all the supports, then polish with sandpaper.
