When you visit a new city in China, there is always a grand square, floral displays, and a large city landmark in front of the train station. Recently, more and more cities are adopting LDM 3D printing technology when building basic facilities and landmarks. Concrete LDM 3D printers, just like FDM printers, are controlled via g-code, a machine language that works by directing the print head of the 3D printer until the desired 3D model is produced.

Solution

• Step 1: Rotate the 3D model to set the backside downward so that we can print it from back to front.
• Step 2: Mix the cement, air, water, sand, and gravel in a proper proportion and input into the “bowl” of LDM 3D printer. During printing, we need to keep an eye on the printer to add the concrete in time.
• Step 3: Let the print dry in the open air. Then sanding the front surface and paint.
