Dassault Systèmes names Xometry as first ‘prime partner’ AM Industry

Software company Dassault Systèmes and manufacturing service provider Xometry are partnering to offer customers an integrated solution for ordering parts that facilitates the production workflow from concept to production. Through the collaboration, engineers using Dassault’s SOLIDWORKS and CATIA platforms will have automatic access to Xometry price quotes through the MAKE Marketplace. The integration enables Dassault Systèmes customers to obtain quotes without leaving the design environment.

As part of this effort, the company has developed TissueWorkshop, an easy-to-use web-based interface designed for biologists and tissue engineers. The program, which can reportedly be learned in minutes, enables users to generate libraries of vascular-inspired 3D scaffolds based on user input.
