Prototal installs EOS P 500 serial AM system as part of its growth strategy 3D Printer Hardware

EOS has made known that Prototal Industries, Scandinavia’s largest and most specialized additive manufacturing company, has installed a state-of-the-art EOS P 500 system for plastic laser sintering at Prototal GTP in Ystad. The P 500 system in Ystad will complement the group’s existing machine park which already has two EOS P 500 systems installed at 1zu1 in Austria. The automated manufacturing platform from EOS supports Prototal’s strategy to meet the requests and demands for industrial 3D printing of plastic parts on an industrial scale.

Incus Closes Series A Investment Round

Incus GmbH, an Austrian 3D-printing manufacturer specialized in Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing (LMM), closed a Series A investment round in Q4 2021, also including existing investor AM Ventures. The company is also bringing onboard industry veteran Adrian Keppler, former CEO of world market leader in Powder Bed Fusion systems EOS GmbH, as an investor and growth consultant.

SLM Solutions sells another NXG Xll 600, this time to Collins Aerospace 3D Printer Hardware

Collins Aerospace has acquired an NXG Xll 600 for its facility in West Des Moines, Iowa from SLM Solutions. The facility is a world leader in the design and production of engine nozzles and is now bringing that manufacturing expertise to additive. The new printer will help the company produce additively manufactured aerospace parts faster. This brings the total publicly disclosed number of NXG systems sold to 13 since the giant 12-laser metal L-PBF 3D printer was announced last year (however more machines were sold to yet undisclosed customers).

GE Aviation invests in five M Line metal additive production systems 3D Printer Hardware

GE Aviation is acquiring five GE Additive Concept Laser M Line systems. The first four M Line systems will be installed at GE Aviation’s Additive Technology Center (ATC) in West Chester, Ohio in 2022. A fifth M Line system will be installed at Avio Aero’s Turin site in Italy to support the serial production of additive components for the GE Catalyst turboprop engine during 2022.
