Triditive and Foxconn to develop a metal binder jetting AM system 3D Printer Hardware

The Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn has joined forces with the Asturian company Triditive, a global benchmark company in additive manufacturing, to develop a 3D printer leveraging binder jetting technology. For several years, Triditive has been developing and commercializing bound metal extrusion systems tailored for parts production, under the brand AMCELL. Triditive and Foxconn will now work together on further scaling the AM platform’s automated manufacturing capabilities, marking a very important milestone and significant achievement for the Asturian startup led by CEO Mariel Diaz.

Color 3D printer manufacturer Rize 3D has shut down 3D Printer Hardware

No one likes to do these stories but they have to be reported: 3D printed manufacturer Rize 3D, a company that was offering a unique mix of extrusion and piezo-jetting for full-color 3D printing capabilities, has shut down. This actually happened a few months ago but, as we said earlier, no one likes to do these stories. The company’s special media accounts have been silent for a few months now and a new company, Palitra, has been established to offer support for existing Rize 3D customers.

Sintavia places orders two NXG XII 600s from SLM Solutions 3D Printer Hardware

Last week SLM Solutions held a large company and customer meeting at its HQ in Lubeck to show off the final and functional version of the huge NXG XII 600 SLM 3D printer. Now Sintavia, one of the premier manufacturers of advanced propulsion and thermodynamic systems for the aerospace, defense, and space industry, has ordered two NXG XII 600s in a move that will significantly advance the entire industry.

3D Systems adds LFAM technology with acquisition of Titan Additive  AM Industry

3D Systems has entered into an agreement to acquire Titan Additive LLC, aka Titan Robotics, the Colorado-based designer and fabricator of large-format, industrial 3D printers. As a market leader in pellet-based polymer extrusion 3D printing technology, and the only manufacturer offering hybrid tool head configurations, Titan Robotics provides solutions to its customers by developing application-specific processes using Titan’s unique large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) technology. With this acquisition, 3D Systems will expand the strength and breadth of its polymer AM solutions portfolio to address new applications in markets such as Foundries, Consumer Goods, Service Bureaus, Transportation & Motorsports, Aerospace & Defense, and General Manufacturing.

GE Aviation invests in five M Line metal additive production systems 3D Printer Hardware

GE Aviation is acquiring five GE Additive Concept Laser M Line systems. The first four M Line systems will be installed at GE Aviation’s Additive Technology Center (ATC) in West Chester, Ohio in 2022. A fifth M Line system will be installed at Avio Aero’s Turin site in Italy to support the serial production of additive components for the GE Catalyst turboprop engine during 2022.
