Nexa3D has acquired XYZprinting‘s laser sintering technology, channel and worldwide customer base, rounding out its own high-end industrial polymer laser powder bed solutions (represented by the quad laser QLS 820 system) with XYZ’s more affordable MfgPro230xS and MfgPro236xS systems and expanding its material library.
The MfgPro236 xS uses Selective Laser Sintering technology (SLS) to produce 3D printed parts with tough, mechanical, and thermal properties. Founded in 2013, XYZprinting is backed by the world’s leading electronic manufacturing conglomerate, New Kinpo Group, which earns more than 36 billion dollars in revenues annually and has more than 8,500 engineers in research and development across four continents. With nearly two decades of design and manufacturing experience, New Kinpo Group is a recognized manufacturer of many of today’s (2D) printers for both personal and commercial use.
Once a rapidly growing powerhouse in consumer and prosumer 3D printing, XYZprinting began about five years ago to expand into more professional and industrial segments introducing both binder jetting and polymer laser PBF machines. In recent years the company had been progressively abandoning the entry-level segments to focus on the more industrial part of its business.
Over the past five years, the XYZprinting technology has been successfully adopted by a wide range of customers, building a strong reputation for high-performance, high-speed printing with outstanding reliability. The MfgPro230 and MfgPro236 produce polymer components with tough, mechanical and thermal properties. Both printers use an open material platform and are compatible with a broad range of nylon powders, ideal for higher-temperature applications.
Both printers offer a versatile range of materials including the popular PA11, PA12, PBT and PP, along with TPU88 and TPU75. Additionally, both systems are compatible with titanium and steel cold metal fusion materials.

Nexa3D has been collaborating closely with Nexa3D since early on. In 2017, XYZprinting and equity crowdfunding platform OurCrowd invested bringing the total funding in the company to $10M US across various funding instruments.
Leading the round, XYZprinting, at the time one of the world’s leading desktop 3D printer brands, also agreed to manufacture and sell Nexa3D printers under the XYZ brand, as well as manufacture other white-labeled products on behalf of Nexa3D for industry leaders in other verticals.

Also in 2017, a three-way agreement was signed between Nexa3D, BEGO and XYZprinting to form a strategic partnership to accelerate the transformation of digital dentistry. As per the agreement, BEGO agreed to Exclusively sell and XYZprinting agreed to solely manufacture Nexa3D’s high-speed dental printer and other XYZprinting printers. Nexa3D agreed to develop technology and products to effectively access the multi-billion Dollar digital dentistry opportunity
