In this report the firm projects that the yearly value of UAV additive manufacturing for parts will reach $1.9 billion, driving over $400 million in yearly sales of AM equipment, software, materials and services.

Desktop Metal, the Massachussetts based company committed to making accessible metal 3D printing a reality for manufacturers and engineers, completed a $115 million Series D investment round to further accelerate the company’s rapid business growth and adoption of its end-to-end metal 3D printing systems. Since its inception in October 2015, Desktop Metal has raised a total of $212 million in financing, with the Series D marking the largest individual private round for a metal additive manufacturing company.

Ukranian Chef Uses 3D Printed Molds to Make Best Custom Desserts Yet AM Software

Dinara Kasko is a 28 year old pastry chef from Ukraine. She graduated from the University of Architecture and Design and worked as an architect-designer and a 3D visualization artist. At some point she combined her talent with her passion for patisserie and started to model her own moulds, to print them with 3D printer and create custom desserts. Her latest creation is a 3D printed geometric cherry cake which was featured in SoGood Magazine.
