M. Holland Company, a distributor of thermoplastic resin materials, has announced an expanded distribution partnership with BASF 3D Printing Solutions. The agreement will see M. Holland begin to distribute a stainless-steel composite filament, BASF’s Ultrafuse 316L, marking the company’s first foray outside of thermoplastic resins.

A new 3D_Evolution Simplifier function now automatically generates envelope geometry, especially for all major visualization tools. Lattice Technology, a software solution provider in the PLM space, released XVL Web3D Manager, a new product that enables viewing of complete product data (3D and metadata) using any modern web browser, accommodating even gigabyte-size 3D models with fast performance and access control.

Formlabs has announced a partnership with Germany-based BEGO, a manufacturer of prosthodontics and implants for the dental industry. Together, the partners aim to bring temporary and permanent 3D printed crowns and bridges to market for dental applications.
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH, one of the world’s biggest lighting equipment manufacturers, recently signed an agreement with Polish additive company XTPL S.A. Through the partnership, the companies will evaluate and validate parameters of XTPL’s 3D printing technology with the goal of implementing it into OSRAM’s production workflow. Specifically, OSRAM will explore using XTPL’s AM technology for the production of conductive interconnections for semiconductors in lighting devices.
Israeli electronics 3D printing company Nano Dimension has announced today it will be opening a headquarters in South Florida from which its American operations will be based. The new office will be located in Boca Raton, Florida and will enable the company to better serve its growing customer base in the Eastern United States.
