This Company is Serially 3D Printing Custom Manholes for Drainage

Pipelife is the first company to apply automated 3D printing and software to produce customized manhole and inspection chamber flow profiles for drainage systems. After a great deal of development work since the first printer was introduced 1.5 years ago, Pipelife is preparing to roll out 3D printing to the whole Group. This will significantly improve efficiency and precision in the production of polypropylene (PP) flow profiles, ensuring clients increased availability and product quality.

Prototal installs EOS P 500 serial AM system as part of its growth strategy 3D Printer Hardware

EOS has made known that Prototal Industries, Scandinavia’s largest and most specialized additive manufacturing company, has installed a state-of-the-art EOS P 500 system for plastic laser sintering at Prototal GTP in Ystad. The P 500 system in Ystad will complement the group’s existing machine park which already has two EOS P 500 systems installed at 1zu1 in Austria. The automated manufacturing platform from EOS supports Prototal’s strategy to meet the requests and demands for industrial 3D printing of plastic parts on an industrial scale.

New Fusion3 EDGE professional 3D printer launches for $6,999 3D Printer Hardware

US-based 3D printer manufacturer Fusion3 launched the new EDGE professional 3D printer. Priced at only $6,999, the Fusion3 EDGE provides many capabilities usually found in significantly more expensive industrial 3D printers. Reimagined from the ground up, EDGE combines high speed, large build volume, printing quality, tight tolerances when printing high-temperature materials, ease of use, and durability for 24×7 operation.

Stratasys Advances Personalized Healthcare

Stratasys Advances Personalized Healthcare

Stratasys continues to enhance anatomic modeling solutions for healthcare providers through the introduction of a new software module, Digital Anatomy Creator, for Stratasys Digital Anatomy 3D Printers. The new software allows users to easily manipulate material formations and customize the internal structures of their prints to achieve patient-specific anatomic models that are a direct replication of a patient’s pathologic and biologic anatomy.

BattleBots’ New Ghost Raptor Has Some (3D Printed) Bite

BattleBots’ New Ghost Raptor Has Some (3D Printed) Bite

A robotic, dinosaur ghost, that shoots fire out of her 3D printed jaw. That’s Ghost Raptor for the 2022 season of BattleBots but it could be pretty much any maker’s dream bot. Team Raptor (Chuck Pitzer, Eric Diehr, Sabri Sansoy) teamed up with Designer Anouk Wipprecht and Xo Wang for the 2021 BattleBots competition. Team Raptor has been participating in robotic fighting tournaments since 1999 and this year, to add even more style and badassery to the terrordactyl (cit.) bot, the team worked with Wipprecht and metal DED 3D printing company Formalloy to create a metal 3D printed jaw that opens to spit fire at its enemies. Thanks to Anouk’s participation in this season, we had the opportunity to sit down with her and Team Raptor’s Team Captain Chuck Pitzer to learn more about if and how 3D printing is making a difference.

3D Printing Technology takes center stage in Downtown Huntsville Construction 3D Printing

The city of Huntsville, AL, is a burgeoning technology town that is home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center as well as facilities for the Department of Defense. It is a community that is continuing to flourish. Downtown Huntsville is on the move with the redevelopment of Big Spring Park, which is home to new hotels, entertainment venues, and bars and restaurants. Part of that revitalization included renovations to the Monroe Street parking garage, across the street from the multi-purpose Von Braun Center. The parking garage provides event parking in the evenings and on weekends, and office workers use it during the weekdays. To achieve their goal of an attractive and dynamic façade for the garage that would make a bold statement, architects ultimately turned to Branch Technology and its game-changing approach to 3D printed facades for commercial construction.
