3DPRINTUK, a leading London-based service provider of polymer PBF 3D printing, is expected to continue its pattern of year-on-year growth and expansion – according to its planned internal investment strategy – into 2023. 3DPRINTUK closed 2022 with news of its ISO 9001 accreditation – a major milestone for the company.
This year kicked off with the addition of new machines to the company’s 3D printer portfolio – increasing capacity and management of lead times for clients. This month, 3DPRINTUK added a third HP MJF machine – increasing capacity with this technology by 50%. The company has also invested in another EOS Formiga SLS machine, which brings the total EOS SLS machine count at the London facility to 13.
Manufacturing on Demand
Since it was first founded out of Nick Allen’s garage in 2010, with a single EOS machine, 3DPRINTUK has grown by sticking to its core strengths and developing unprecedented expertise with polymer PBF processes. The company used to mainly print prototypes but, over the years, the company has gone from approximately 5%, to 80-85% of their printed products being for end-use.
Today, the company offers extensive manufacturing capabilities and the capacity to support a wide range of key applications across many industrial sectors as a low-volume production partner. As one of the company’s core competencies, 3DPRINTUK offers a reliable and flexible manufacturing service that bridges the gap between prototyping and injection molding – overcoming the limitations that alternative processes such as CNC machining and vacuum casting present.
