The EU鈥檚 new data privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation, goes into effect on May 25, 2018 and applies not only to EU-based organizations, but also to anyone who has customers or contacts in the EU.

Here’s what you should know to be ready.

General update

At FacFox, we鈥檙e committed to protecting your privacy. With this update we want to explain what data we collect from you and provide details on how we protect your privacy, and address new GRPD regulations.

We鈥檝e updated our Privacy Policy with clearer headings and an in-depth discussion of our use of cookies. Furthermore we’ve added detailed explanations about what information we collect from you and your customers, and why, what we do with it, and how we make sure that information stays safe and private.

Product update

Our new Privacy Policy is reflected in our widgets also. Now your customers have to accept our Privacy Policy when using the widget for the first time.

Please be aware that what we collect has become much more transparent to the end-users: There is a direct link to their accoungt on the widget where they can see most of the info we (you) are keeping for them. Any bona-fide request from you or the end-user in question to delete that data (“Right to be Forgotten”) will be honored within 48 hours.

What you can do.

We kindly asked you to update your own Terms & Conditions to make sure that your customers will be aware of your internal privacy policy. It’s crucially important to those customers who use our white label solution. All others can simply refer to our Policy.
