Solution

  • Step 1: Design Creation.聽The design of the Cyclone motorcycle model was created using CAD software. Detailed measurements and specifications were included to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
  • Step 2: Preparation of the SLA Printer.聽The SLA 3D printer was prepared by filling the resin tank with photopolymer resin. The build platform was cleaned and calibrated to ensure precise printing.
  • Step 3: Printing the Parts.聽The CAD design was uploaded to the SLA printer’s software. The printing process was initiated, and the UV laser selectively cured the resin layer by layer, forming the parts of the motorcycle enclosure.
  • Step 4: Post-Processing.聽Once printing was completed, the parts were carefully removed from the build platform. Excess resin was cleaned off using isopropyl alcohol. The parts were then placed in a UV curing chamber to ensure complete hardening of the resin.
  • Step 5: Sanding and Smoothing.聽The printed parts were sanded to remove any layer lines and achieve a smooth surface. Fine-grit sandpaper was used for this process.
  • Step 6: Assembly.聽The individual parts of the enclosure were assembled using adhesive. Care was taken to align all parts correctly to maintain the structural integrity and appearance of the model.
  • Step 7: Painting.聽The assembled enclosure was primed and painted to match the iconic look of the Cyclone from the anime. Glossy paint and the iconic logo were applied to achieve an authentic finish.
  • Step 8: Final Touches. Any additional details, such as decals or small components, were added to complete the look of the Cyclone motorcycle model.
  • Step 9: Attachment to the Motorcycle. The 3D-printed enclosure was carefully attached to the motorcycle. Custom brackets and mounts were used to secure the enclosure in place. The cosplayer was assisted in ensuring that the enclosure was properly aligned and securely fastened.
