Our client designed the futuristic cable-stayed suspension bridge and ordered a 3D printed scaled-down resin model from us to take part in the bid. It became one of their strength when competing with other competitors. During modeling, the client took our advise and thicken the cables to make them printable.
Solution
Step 1: The client does not want to paint the bridge model, so we plan to print the whole bridge in one piece to make the appearance more good-looking.
Step 2: After the examination of the model, we advice the client to adjust the thickness of the cable and minimal detail feature, etc. Then we arrange the parts in software and add necessary supports. Then 3D print it with SLA Durable Resin using an industrial 3D printer. The layer thickness we set is 0.1mm.
Step 3: When printing is completed, rinse the model with IPA and post-cure it with UV. Cut off all the supports, then polish with sandpaper.
