FacFox had the honor of fabricating this striking full-body statue for MAM Originals, the Barcelona-based brand known for its avant-garde jewelry and sustainable design philosophy.

The artwork began as a meticulously sculpted form, produced through large-format 3D printing and finishing. Before its final transformation, the surface was carefully smoothed and refined (as shown in the grey primed version). To achieve the stunning mirror-like effect, the statue underwent a professional electroplating process, giving it a polished metallic finish that echoes the sheen of fine jewelry.

While MAM Originals primarily creates jewelry, this sculptural piece extends their design language into a larger-than-life installation. It embodies the same values-minimalism, futurism, and material innovation-on a monumental scale, becoming both a work of art and a statement of brand identity.

Solution

• Step 1: The 3D model of the statue was prepared and segmented for large-format printing.
• Step 2: The parts were 3D printed layer by layer with high-strength resin.
• Step 3: The printed pieces were assembled and reinforced internally for stability.
• Step 4: The entire surface was sanded and coated with primer to achieve a smooth finish.
• Step 5: Additional sanding and polishing were carried out to remove all layer lines.
• Step 6: The primed statue was electroplated with a reflective metallic layer.
• Step 7: The final surface was polished to a mirror-like finish, highlighting every contour.
• Step 8: The completed statue was carefully packaged and delivered to the client.
