Mimaki launches new Mimaki 3DGD-1800 large format 3D printer 3D Printer Hardware

Mimaki’s 3D printing business has been intertwined with Israeli technologies from the start. The Japanese company is a leader in large format 2D inkjet technology just like many of the firms involved in the evolution of companies like Objet, which later became Stratasys. After launching the only credible material jetting alternative for Stratasys full color 3D printing, now Mimaki Europe closed an OEM deal with another Israeli company, Massivit (whose founders originated from the Objet team), to launch the new Mimaki 3DGD-1800 large format, high-speed 3D printer.

Factum Arte digitally unveils life-size partly 3D printed replica of Raffaello’s tomb 3D Printer Hardware

The Covid-19 pandemic is forcing all social venues – including museums and exhibits – to close their doors to slow down the virus’ diffusion. For the Raffello exhibit, which marks the ​500-year anniversary of famous Italian painter’s death, Factum Arte created the spectacular starting point of the exhibition: a rematerialization of Raffaello’s tomb from the Pantheon, with its 19th-century additions removed.

Red Series by 9T, there’s a new player in the continuous fiber 3D printing segment 3D Printer Hardware

9T Labs, a young startup founded in 2018, has introduced its first product, the Red Series by 9T all-in-one solution for composite series production. The company had scheduled the launch to coincide with JEC, the most important composite show in the world (which however has been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak concerns): the chance to see it first hand will hopefully come around in May but in the meantime here’s what we know.
