With its numerous technical features, the latest generation of the S1 post-processing system from AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology is setting new standards for de-powdering and cleaning of 3D printed components. These include the swivel-mounted rotary basket for ergonomic loading/unloading and prevention of dirt pickup, swivel-mounted blast nozzles preventing re-contamination and a design that is in complete compliance with ATEX standards. Of course, the gentle and, at the same time, intensive processing, the easy and safe change of blast media and the easy switch from automatic to manual operation ensure efficient and consistent high-quality processing results.
VELO3D is expanding its 3D printing portfolio in a big way—literally. The California-based metal AM company has released the Sapphire XC 3D printer, which it describes as an “extra capacity” system with up to five times higher throughput compared to the original Sapphire system. The new large-format Sapphire XC also has the ability to reduce cost-per-part by up to 75%.
Based on the proven Neo800, the compact Neo450 series from UK-based RPS has a 450 × 450 × 400 mm platform and builds prototypes, rapid tooling, and master patterns with optimal surface quality, accuracy and detail. Designed for greater flexibility and versatility, the Neo450 series is available in two models with different performance and functionality depending on customer needs – the Neo450e and the Neo450s.
More and more AM hardware firms are introducing rental services to meet high CapEx issues from purchasing industrial 3D printers upfront. Now BigRep a pioneer in large-format additive manufacturing (AM) technology and solutions, is introducing the STUDIO G2 rental service, focusing on one of its mid-size systems.
Swedish company Freemelt AB has unveiled its latest solution, ProHeat, a system for preheating the powder bed in electron beam powder bed fusion (E-PBF) 3D printers.
