Markforged presents AI-powered Blacksmith software AM Software

3D printing company Markforged has announced the availability of Blacksmith, an AI-powered software that makes additive manufacturing systems “aware” so they can adjust programming and parameters to ensure optimal print results. The software, which Markforged says is the first of its kind, is built to enable smart factory environments and “Adaptive Manufacturing” with the aim of lowering production costs and boosting efficiency.

3devo Launches AIRID Polymer Dryer 3D Printer Hardware

3devo, a Dutch technology company, was created around the mission to turn 3D printing into a “closed-loop cycle”, to empower innovators and creators through developing accessible products. Now the company is adding the AIRID Polymer Dryer to its extrusion ecosystem which already includes the Filament Maker, a desktop extruder that extrudes custom 3D print materials and the SHR3D IT, an innovative plastic processor that recycles old plastics into printing graduate granulate.

3D Systems announces general release date for Figure 4 Modular, new materials 3D Printer Hardware

3D Systems is preparing to commercially release its Figure 4 Modular digital manufacturing solution next month. The Figure 4 Modular is part of the company’s Figure 4 platform along with the Figure 4 Standalone and the Figure 4 Production. In addition to announcing the upcoming general release, 3D Systems is also preparing to introduce five new 3D printing materials.

Origin debuts Origin One 3D printer, partners with ECCO and BASF 3D Printer Hardware

Danish footwear brand ECCO Group is no stranger to innovation, as it has taken the advancement of 3D printing in stride with its footwear production. Most recently, the shoe manufacturer announced its alliance with BASF 3D Printing Solutions and Origin, a San Francisco-based startup known for its Open Additive Manufacturing technology. Through the partnership, ECCO will leverage the new Origin One 3D printer and BASF’s Ultracur3D photopolymer materials to transform footwear production at its R&D facility.

Roboze Xtreme 3D printer series to make U.S. debut at RAPID + TCT 3D Printer Hardware

Italian 3D printing company Roboze will be showcasing its Xtreme 3D printer series in the United States for the first time at RAPID + TCT in Detroit from May 20-23. The 3D printer series, which made its debut at Formnext 2018, comprises the ROBOZE One Xtreme and the ROBOZE One+400 Xtreme desktop/production solutions. In addition to presenting its new 3D printing hardware for the first time in the U.S., Roboze has also hinted it will be lifting the veil on some exciting news at the major additive manufacturing event.
