SLM Solutions Group AG, a global provider of integrated metal additive manufacturing solutions, and Divergent Technologies have signed a long-term Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the entire SLM NXG XII 600 fleet. Divergent Technologies’ end-to-end digital production system for design, manufacturing and assembly, DAPSTM, incorporates additive manufacturing to unleash innovation in the automotive industry, making vehicles lighter, more energy efficient and less capital intensive to produce. Since 2017, Divergent and SLM have worked together as joint development partners.

Creality, a global pioneer in 3D printing, has partnered with Forward AM, a brand of BASF, to deliver professional-grade additive manufacturing solutions to the Chinese market. The MOU-signing ceremony will be held on 1 September, at TCT Shenzhen, China. Alongside the ceremony, Creality will launch the Sermoon D3, the latest addition to the fully-enclosed 3D printer lineup, and co-launch the HP-ULTRA with Forward AM, a high-end filament series specifically designed for Creality 3D printers.
The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex (OC-ALC) and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) Propulsion Directorate, along with industry partner General Electric, recently opened the Complex’s second Reverse Engineering and Critical Tooling (REACT) lab which hosts 3D metal printers procured under the Pacer Edge Program. In attendance were key stakeholders of the Pacer Edge team from the Defense Logistic Agency’s Strategic Contracts Organization, the Air Force’s Rapid Sustainment Office, and the Air Force Research Lab.
SLM Solutions Group AG has sold two more SLM500s printers to Rolls-Royce. According to Geeetech, many consumer FDM printers, that are currently available on the market, are quite slow – which is the angle the company is using when marketing its new THUNDER high-speed 3D printer, which is expected to launch by early September, on Kickstarter (for early birds). Geeetech’s THUNDER 3D printer will come with a notably high printing speed, an all-metal body design, a “super strong cooling system”, and a large printing volume.
